Loghouse manufacture a wide range of structural solid timbers in sizes from 28mm to 90mm and in engineered laminate timbers from 90mm to 220mm. Twin Wall System – with today’s concern for greater energy efficiency and the emphasis being put on renewable resources, more and more attention is being paid to the overall heat co efficient or “U Value” of the dwelling’s components. In keeping with these demands Loghouse is pleased to offer a complete composite wall system in a variety of U values that can suit multiple uses, such as a seasonal cabin up to a full Grade A Building Energy Rating (BER).
We offer an exterior log thickness of either 45mm or 58mm, with either a 50mm or 100mm insulated cavity, and a finished interior log thickness of either 28mm, 45mm, or even 58mm with U values as low as 0.15, which greatly exceed the national standard for habitable dwellings.
